Child-focused art therapy
supports young children and their families when
problem behaviors and difficult emotional
circumstances occur. Postpartum therapy is offered
for mothers experiencing perinatal and postpartum
depression or anxiety. Individual art therapy and
sandtray therapy are offered to individuals to
process difficult emotional material, expand
personal growth and understanding. Parenting workshops help new
parents explore their psychological births as
parents while also learning about infant
development, temperament traits and attunement and
parenting styles. The Art of Friendship Social
Skills groups aid children with social cognitive
deficits learn positive social engagement in a fun,
safe, supportive environment.
Therapists at Parent to Child are fully credentialed, Board-Certified Art Therapists who hold licenses as Professional Counselors.
