Parent to Child is sponsoring an It Takes Two to Talk® program
Ongoing Rolling Enrollment for the It Takes Two to Talk® program:
It Takes Two to Talk® is an evidence-based and cost effective alternative to direct speech therapy for young children with both expressive and receptive language delays. It Takes Two to Talk® was developed by The Hanen Centre, a non-profit charitable organization in Toronto, Ontario. The goal of the program is to empower caregivers to become the child’s primary language facilitator so that language intervention occurs in naturalistic contexts and on a frequent and ongoing basis, thereby optimizing the child’s ability to develop improved language skills.
It Takes Two to Talk® includes a pre-program assessment, twelve weekly sessions in a supportive group environment, three individual video feedback sessions for each parent, and a post-program consultation. This program is run by speech language pathologists Stefanie Odett and Erin Fadako, who both hold Pennsylvania state licensure, Certificates of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and certification from The Hanen Centre in the It Takes Two to Talk® program.
