Lindsay Dekich, MA
Lindsay Dekich is an art psychotherapist with a bachelor of arts in psychology from University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, and a graduate of Drexel University’s Master of Arts in Art Therapy program. She has worked with clients of all ages in a number of settings, with extensive experience in the medical art therapy field since 2007. She specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults, helping clients cope with new medical diagnoses, chronic diagnoses, pain, changes in lifestyle due to medical interventions, and medical traumas. She has extensive experience working with clients exploring identity, life transitions, and self-esteem. Lindsay has also worked with families to help parents and children develop positive and healthy relationships. Her theoretical approach is client centered, but in her work with children, she not only supports the clients during treatment, but actively seeks out support from the parents and caregivers to create the best resources and interventions for her clients based on their needs. Lindsay believes that health and resilience are found in and supported by the creative process, and that everyone is capable of creating.
