Programs for Parents
Parent to Child offers a range of services to parents. Postpartum services include assessment and treatment of postpartum depression, anxiety and “baby blues”.Stepping into Motherhood: Our drop-in mother’s group meets weekly and is designed to be a place for mothers of young babies to come to find support in adjusting to this new phase of life, learn about infant development, explore ways of reducing stress and becoming a more mindful parent as you get to know yourself in this role and your new little person emerging.
Introduction to
Parenting is a once a month, one-time
opportunity for new parents to come and find some
answers to the pressing question on the minds of
most new parents, “so what do we do now?” Come for
an hour and a half to get an overview of what to
expect in the first year of your newborn’s life and
how to cope with your new roles. Babies and
questions are welcome.
Becoming Parents: Our four-week workshop for new parents invites couples or singles to meet along with their newborn weekly to learn about infant development, temperament traits, parenting through the infant stage and into the next and find support for some of the most challenging aspects of becoming a family: sleeping, emotional cycles, communication and parent emotional depetion. This time frame allows for questions to be asked, concerns to be shared and a new community of parents to form.
