Who Am I, Now That I’m a Mom?
Workshop for MomsRETURNING IN SEPTEMBER

Having a child can shake up
your sense of identity. You have less independence,
control, and – of course -- time than you used to.
You may miss the woman you were before you had the
baby, but you can never go back there again. Before
you had a child, you envisioned the kind of mother
you would be. But it can be hard to be that ideal
parent in the chaos of day-to-day family life.
In this 3-hour hands-on workshop, we’ll explore finding one’s way as a woman and a mother. We’ll examine the stories of motherhood in contemporary and historical cultural context, using images and literature. We’ll invite you to find and tell your story using body based introspection, movement and art making.
Motherhood transforms you. This is chance to look deeply at that change, and open up to the new person you’ve become.
