Sharon Hoffberg, MA, MT-BC

Sharon Hoffberg is a Master’s level, Board Certified, Music Therapist who graduated from the Hahnemann Creative Arts in Therapy Program at Drexel University. Sharon has worked with children with varied levels of functioning in groups and individual settings. She has experience working with children diagnosed with Down Syndrome, autism and seizure disorders. Sharon also has experience in working with groups of older adults with a wide variety of diagnoses. These include depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders and dementia. In addition to music therapy, Sharon has facilitated verbal therapy groups with older adults.

Sharon engages clients with a variety of interventions including singing, improvisation, songwriting, and instrumental playing to provide tools to increase positive responses, and appropriate social interactions, as well as to enhance self-confidence.
