ABOUT SARAH

Sarah has earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Marywood University and is currently a board certified, registered art therapist and a licensed professional counselor with 4 years of clinical experience. Throughout the course of her work, Sarah has provided both individual and group therapeutic services to adolescents within youth shelters and alternative housing, to those experiencing crisis within an intensive inpatient psychiatric hospital setting, and to adults with co-occurring medical and mental health needs for a medical based non-profit organization, especially within the LGBT+ community. Throughout this experience, Sarah has built a skillset using an emotion-focused and person-centered approach with a trauma informed and gender affirming lens as she supports clients experiencing depression, anxiety, shame, guilt, grief, loss, gender dysphoria, and general discomfort. Sarah is a clinician with a passion to work with those who identify within the LGBT+ community as she utilizes the art-making process to build rapport, foster self-exploration and self-discovery, discover methods of communication within relationships and familial systems, and explore and gain both self and emotional awareness.
